DAV spoke with Dr. Ben Park, the director of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s also a professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He talked about the incredible advances in cancer research and treatment that are made possible, in part, through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He also shared how that progress and even people’s lives are being threatened because of recent cuts to federal grants.
